Just started using the premium version of Event Espresso. When I try to submit a new event, I get this message:

WordPress database error: [Unknown column ‘ticket_id’ in ‘field list’]

There was an error in your submission. The event was not saved! Please try again.

WordPress database error: [] INSERT INTO 5312_FreedomSchoolPartners_events_prices (event_id, event_cost, surcharge, surcharge_type, price_type, member_price, member_price_type) VALUES (‘1173’, ‘0.00’, ‘0.00’, ‘flat_rate’, ‘General Admission’, ‘0.00’, ‘Members Admission’)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Had you updated from another version? Or is this a new install?

I had the lite version installed, then I installed and activated the premium plugin and deactivated lite.

It sounds like some of the database tables did not get set up correctly. What version of the Lite plugin were you using? Do you have access to phpMyAdmin?

Thanks for your help – version 3.1.20.L.

Yes, I have access to phpMyAdmin.

Try adding a new column called ‘ticket_id’ to your 5312_FreedomSchoolPartners_events_detail database table in phpMyAdmin. You can also try just deactivating/reactivating the plugin to see if the tables are created on activation (in fact, try that before manually adding the column). Before making any database changes, you’ll want to create a backup of your db just in case.

I added the column and that seems to have worked – thanks a ton!
