Hello,

I was wondering how would  I go configuring the widget to display courses by city and type? Very similar to the website in the showcase.  I’ve been attempting to figure this out with no avail.

Hi,

At a guess I will say they are using Categories and the [EVENT_LIST] shortcode.

So they have a page for Oakville and the [EVENT_LIST category_identifier=your_category_identifier] shortcode on it corresponding to that category.

Dean,

I tried to use the EVENT_LIST shortcode with category identifier and it displays the full event as if it was the main EVENT_LIST page.

I would rather have it listed similar to the option shown in the original post. Any idea how I could go by doing it?

If the Categories are known and not dynamic I would:

Create a bunch of Event Categories and apply them to Events
Create a Page per event and use the [EVENT_LIST category_identifier=your_category_identifier] with a single category per page.
Then I would create a Custom Menu which shows those pages
And add a Custom Menu Widget to my sidebar using that custom menu I just created

That is pretty much what I think they have done on their site or a close approximation.
