What is the Optimal Featured Image Size?

I am using a responsive theme so that my pages format properly on a smartphone but I can’t seem to find the right size featured image. It is also affecting the images I have in the body of the registration page. (Please see my issues at http://fanatchickscare.org/register)

What are the optimal/ideal dimensions for this image?

– this is a new installation (Jan 4, 2014)
– event espresso version 3.1.36.2.P with social media, calendar, custom template and mailchimp plugins
– I am running WordPress 3.8

Hi,

Add the following CSS to your themese style.css or to a pluginsuch as My Custom CSS and it will resize the image on different resolutions

.ee-featured-image img {
max-width: 100%;
}

Thanks. This worked when I pasted into My Custom CSS plugin.
