Hi Jason,

That’s a known issue, you can’t have both the full calendar and calendar widget on the same page, that’s what the ‘Calendar Page’ field is for.

It stops the calendar widget loading on the page slug you specify in that field (the calendar page) to stop what your experiencing.

Ahh…so basically just remove the shortcode on the page and as long as I have the page slug in that field it will just populate it?

No, you’ll want to leave the calendar shortcode on the page where it is. The “Calendar Page” Field in the widget settings excludes the widget from that page. It does not populate that page with the shortcode.

To give an example.

I have used the calendar shortcode on a page called book-now.Within my primary sidebar I have the calendar widget with book-now in the calendar page field. This means the widget loads on all the other pages but not the book-now.

That the issue you are having.

Hi Jason,

What you’ll need to do is enter:

garden-club-calendar-of-events

in the field that asks for a calendar page under Appearance> Widgets> Event Espresso Calendar widget.

It will be on this page:

http://64.31.38.66/~marietta/wp-admin/widgets.php
