Im getting the emails stated “The IPN for DeafNation at http://deafnation.com has not been properly setup and is not working. Date/time 9:47 PM”. I did not set up any payment gateways. Our events are free. Help me out to disable the emails that Im getting them since this morning. I updated the plugin to 3.1.30.1P but problem started with 3.1.30 anyway.
Not sure why that started happening all of a sudden. I will look into it. In the meantime, you can activate the PayPal gateway and that should solve the problem. The payment button shouldn’t show up anyways if your events are free.
Someone else just inquired about this particular issue. So I figured I would reopen and explain this issue a bit more.
This usually happens if someone (or something, possibly a Google bot) lands on your transactions page. If you don’t have any gateways set up, and someone lands on that page by accident (although it is blank), then Event Espresso notifies the admin of the site that system might not be set up properly.
If all of your events are free, or people pay at the door, please try activating the check or invoice gateway. If you’re never going to use a gateway, then you could try setting the espresso transactions page to private.
I hope that helps.
