Hi, I got my client using the waitlist well enough, but we are finding that folks will “Join the Waitlist” but still are able to continue to pay using the paypal button that appears as part of the Registration pathway.
Did I miss checking something? I would like to take a student’s information for the wait list, but not have them pay until they have a sure place in a class.
You can change the price of the waitlist event to “Free” to sign up for the waitlist -or- set the event to “Attendee pre-approval required” in the event editor. This will let them sign up without prompting them for payment. After spots become available the admin approves the attendee and they can be sent a request for payment.
If it’s not already enabled, you set “Enable attendee pre-approval feature?” to yes in Event Espresso>General Settings to enable the attendee pre-approval feature.
