So we’re using the voucher add-on to provide free tickets to our event, we’ll be giving these codes to sponsors and directly to folks. We also allow multiple attendee registration and this is used by our customers a lot. In testing, I came across an issue though between these two systems.
If I have a voucher code and I’m registering myself (planning on using the voucher for me) and I register my two friends as well, the voucher ends up making all three of us free instead of just making my registration free and charging me only for my two friends. I found this support thread from a year ago and it sounds like there was some work on this but has it been resolved yet? Or is the only way to get around this to not allow multiple attendee registration? If that’s the case, perhaps we’ll have to just track the voucher codes carefully and catch the ones that do what I described above so we can follow up and collect payment.
Please flag this as something that needs to be looked at. We’d love to use both features so I think we’re goign to have to just verify that each transaction that uses a voucher (probably less than 100 transactions for our event) did not do what I described in my original request. I’d hope that if we did have someone with a voucher doing multiple attendees, they’d realize something was fishy when it doesn’t charge them for the other registrations and contact us. Thanks Dean, love EE and very happy that it just gets better and better.
Thanks much for the kind words. That’s our aim, to get better! :)
We will definitely add your vote for this feature.
