Volume Discount – Buy One Get One Half Price

Hello,

I was wondering if there was a way to setup a discount where you buy 1 ticket and get the next ticket half price? I was hoping the volume discount plugin could handle this, but I don’t think it does unless I’m not using it correctly?

Hi Liam,

It can, but only if you limit ticket sales to 2 per registration.

Basically you would set it up so that the threshold is 2 and then discount by 25%.

You could have the threshold higher, but you wouldn’t get a true half price ticket then.

Hi Dean,

That only works if you have one ticket price option, but we have 3 (Adult, Senior and Child). Thank you for the suggestion though.

I’m going to take a look and see if I can edit the volume discount plugin to suit my needs.

There is a post-save attendee hook available where you can make more specific price adjustments like what you are describing. We maintain a list of recommended developers who could create a custom function to do so.
