Hi,

Can someone offer advice on being able to apply volume discount for a single event only for a part of the registrants.

Example
If question “What is your membership type” = A, apply volume discount. If the answer is any other, do not apply volume discount

Hi,

You can do this with the Price Modifier add-on http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-price-modifier/

This add-on allows questions to have a ‘value’ used to modify the price of the events. So in your example you could create a dropdown with A, B, C, etc. If ‘A’ is selected give a discount, when others are selected give 0 discount. Its not really a Volume Discount, rather a set amount when selected.

The add-on is currently available through the Pre-release channel and although considered fairly stable is in Beta.

Hi Petar,

I happened to see an email come where you said:

I just realized that your volume discount is for multiple events, not for multiple attendees in an event.

I would like to modify the price if more than 3 people register for and event and they have a certain membership type that is defined in the pricing

It turns out that while the Volume discounts add-on requires the Multi Event Registration add-on be used to register for events, it will apply a discount triggered by number of registrations for one event.

Discounts based on membership types are not currently supported with Volume discounts. That said, you can set membership discounts (non-volume based) by using the WP user integration.
