Total price calculating flaw.

Consider this case:

2 events:

Event A – has a volume discount. ( minimum 10 lets say)

Event B – doen’t have a volume discount.

Adding both items to the cart, and Event A tickets exceeding 10, the volume discount is applied to both prices (total) rather than applying it to the discount events only.

The volume discount add-on works by hooking into the Discount Code code, and thus works the same as the Discount Code in the Multiple Event Registration shopping cart. A discount is applied to the shopping cart as a whole.
This is one reason why the Volume Discount add-on is in the pre-releases section.

Hi Sidney, I believe your information is wrong.

Discount codes do apply for each event specifically in the shopping cart.

see here, add both events to the shopping cart. select 1 of each.

Event B has 10% discount (10PR), that will get applied only for Event B in the total.

You’re right, the discount code applies to individual events. The Volume Discount, though, applies to the cart as a whole. If you have it set for number of registrations, then it will be triggered when the number of registrations in the cart reaches the threshold.

Hi Jon,

The volume discounts was built to a specification for a use case where this was the intent. At this time there are no plans to extend out the feature set.
