I just uploaded the Volume Discount plugin on our test site.  Now, when I click on “view cart” the event is listed 3 times in the shopping cart.  After a couple deactive and activates, we got it to work for a couple events, then it reverted back to listing it multiple times in the shopping cart.  The link to the test site is: http://bookevents.jumplittlepixel.com/all-events/

All events offer the discount.  It kicks in after 2 registrations have been entered.

Thought?

Also, I put the plugin on the live site and the multiple listings occured as well.  I just wanted to see if I could duplicate the issue and I could.  We are on the latest version of EE and WP.

I’m unable to duplicate the problem on my test site. Are you using the latest, unaltered versions of MER and the Volume Discounts add-ons?

We just did a fresh install this past weekend.  We have EE 3.1.31.1 MER – 1.0.4 and Volume discount .4.  It looks like that is the latest but I am not sure.  When does the code kick in for the volume discount?  Is it on the event list or once you get to the cart?  We have made small changes to the event display list, but not the shopping cart.

Hi there,

There is actually a bug in the Volume discounts add-on that manifests itself when an event has 2 or more categories, and volume discounts is active and set to 1 category, a duplicate event displays in the cart. So in this case, it looks like the events are assigned to 3 categories, but only one category is set to have the discount.

The workaround for this is to set all categories to use the discounts or only assign the events to the one category eligible for discounts.

Josh,  you hit the nail right on the head.  When we were testing it, we got it to work, then when we assigned another category, it broke.  We didn’t make the connection at first.  Good work around, but it won’t work for us.  Any thoughts on when the bug may be fixed?

I can check with the developer to see what would be involved. Most of the development resources are going into the core plugin ( Event Espresso 4.0 ) right now.

Thanks!  I would be wiling to be a test site for them.  Maybe it is just a simple “end repeat” script. Thanks!

They’re working on this today and we’ll be updating what’s available in the pre-release channel once we have something ready for beta testing.

I am sure it is a little early to ask, but any update on the status of this?

Hello,

This is still being worked on and was passed back to the developer a few days ago to iron out some issues.
