is it possible to use event espresso as an appointment plugin for a service business?
This means that every day customers can select appointments in one hours slots (without setting up an actual event, this has to be daily mo-fr).
Also will it be possible to integrate the calendar with the clients existing custom made application? I mean will their programmer be able to build a tool to read out the booking information automatically? Is there a port or gateway in your plugin or can you help with this?
Event Espresso isn’t specifically designed for appointments. It has been used for appointments by some customers, but may not have every feature you desire.

You would need to create an event for every single day. We do have the Recurring Events Manager that can be used to replicate an event over a period of time.
Time slots can have limitations, but please note in EE3 group bookings will not work for time slot capacity (only single registrations allowed). EE4 can allow this.

We use the popular Fullcalendar script as a basis for our calendar. We also have a JSON API plugin that can be used to pull data out of the plugin.
