Hi,

I would like to use a radio button question in my event registration form, and I need the answer options to contain commas.

I’ve tried both the HTML character code (http://staging.eventespresso.com/topic/comma-in-checkbox-value/) and the ‘shortcode replacement’ (https://staging.eventespresso.com/topic/checkbox-answer-commas/) routes already. In the first case, Event Espresso very helpfully detects my ‘&’ and replaces it with its own character code. In the approach, my shortcode works just fine everywhere else on the site (I tried both the plug-in and custom_functions.php options) but the radio button text somehow seems to be immune.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Alex,

I’m not sure why the second approach isn’t working for you, I have it set up on my test site and it’s working as expected.

You might try adjusting the filter’s priority (the code snippet has it set to 11, you could try it higher or lower). You could also try deactivating all other plugins and or temporarily switching to the default WP theme. There may be another filter that’s being added to the_content() that’s undoing what the little function I wrote does.

Hi Josh,

Thank you for investigating. I’m not sure why it’s failing only in this place and nowhere else. For now, rather than trying to dig out the ghosts in the code, I’m just going to re-word the questions to avoid using commas.

Thank you!
