I have tested the integration and have had no real problems but today the client’s membership management company is saying that transactions are failing due to the wrong cards being used.

“I have tried several times to pay for the Negotiations session and the annual conference with different credit/debit cards and payment is not being accepted. Please register me and advise an alternative payment route.”

Since this is all happening on the paypal sitewhat could be the issue here? Any advice gratefully received!

Ok it appears that Guest payments are the issue on the account, only Paypal can fix.

Hi,

Glad you figured out what the issue was, here’s hoping PayPal can resolve it for you.

It seems to be a common issue after I did some more searching – it’s designed to encourage users to signup to paypal accounts rather than using them as a payment processor. The client is considering getting an additional payment gateway to handle ad hoc credit card payments

Good to know, I use PayPal like a lot of other people, but it does leave a lot to be desired. I’ll mark this thread as resolved!
