I have seen some strange behaviour in EE. I have an event, which is free, and when I submit my registration details it takes me the “Confirm Registration” page. However, once on this page, the attendee is already confirmed as attending the event when I go to Dashboard -> Event ESpresso -> Event Overview -> Attendees.
Shouldn’t the person only be added to the attendees list AFTER they have confirmed their registration?
That is actually how Event Espresso is designed to work. Also, we had a feature that allowed registrants to edit their information before clicking Confirm Registration, but we were having issues with it, so we pulled it. We have added it back into the next update which should be out soon. I’m not positive on a date. Also we are working on an option that will allow you to remove the confirmation page entirely, but I’m not sure when that will be available.
The only problem with that is, the email gets sent after you hit the second confirm, but they are registered in the system after the first submit. So, at which stage is the person really part of the course?
I tested the feature that I explained to you above that will be in the next update. When I chose to disable the Confirmation Page, I received confirmation emails when clicking “Submit” on the registration page. So, I think that feature will be of use to you. Again, I’m not sure on an exact date because we have a few tickets to finish testing before release. But, we are hoping it will be soon.
