I received an email (as a website admin) with the registration details for a specific user and event. When reviewing the list of attendees for this specific event I noticed this user is not on the list. There are other users listed so we know the registration for this event is working fine. Please advise.
Was there any other users registered at that time? It could be they registered then backed up to register someone else or for a different event and over wrote their first registration. We have implemented a warning for that in recent versions.
If not, have you double checked the filters and/or the Retrieve button to make sure all attendees are being shown (should only be an issue if over 50 attendees).
There are less than 10 attendees for this event, it should not be a filter issue.
The same user generated both registrations. At 5:15 pm the first registration email was generated with registration ID=32-5224ffd98984f. At 5:22 pm the same user generated the second registration email with a different registration ID= 32-52250173e8152. The system shows only the second registration, the first one is missing. Does this make sense?
Yes, they overwrote their first registration. This can be avoided by making sure you are on the latest version of Event Espresso. You can even run a test on your registration page by going through the registration process and when you get to the payment overview page attempt to register again by clicking the back button on your web browser. There will be a warning message that tells you if you continue it will overwrite your registration. If the warning is ignored the registration will get overwritten.
Yes, we are running the latest versions of all plugins. I tested the back button in 2 different browsers and it does work as you described. At this point I will assume that user ignored the warning and overwrote her first registration. I will add her manually based on the email the system sent out.
Thank you,
Jake
