I followed this totorial http://staging.eventespresso.com/forums/2010/12/customizing-the-registration-form/. It says to copy registration_page_display page to the Uploads > Event Espresso > Templates folder and make changes there. But you really need to then overwrite the original page right in the plugins folder right? Nothing seems to happen until I do that. What is the uploads folder for? Files there don’t seem to make any difference to how the site works.

Hi Tom,

In this case you will need to copy over the registration_page.php template too. The reason for this is it’s the registration_page.php template that loads up registration_page_display.php. Since there isn’t a registration_page.php in the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates location, your copy of registration_page_display.php there doesn’t load.
