Hi Darren,

Where abouts are you adding the company logo to? The General settings? As a featured image on an event? The invoice?

    Hi Dean…

I’m adding it on the General Settings page. There is a heading that says “Organization Settings” then under that “Company Logo”. Under that “Add a Default Logo”. Below that a button that says “Upload Image”.

When I upload the image – uploading goes fine. I click “insert into post” and the dialog window goes away. In Chrome I see a broken image graphic. In Firefox I see nothing and the logo still isn’t present on the template in the areas that say
    it should be present.

What type of image are you using? Is the image being saved to your media folder (uploads)?

I’m using a PNG image and yes, it’s saved repeatedly.

Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this?

If so, please send them via http://staging.eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

NOTE: login details need to be Admin level.

        Hi,

I finally managed to log into your site, though it was quite slow and timed out on me.

I had no issue in adding the logo to the general settings, worked first time. If you need a logo for invoices though you will need to use one without transparency (it can be a separate image file).

@Carlene – is it exactly the same issue? Are their any errors? Does the site time out (stop working)? The reason is, as per my post above, I had no issues in adding the image.

Not working, used JPEG with no transparency.

          Hi,

OK, looking at Carlenes site I can see the issue. It looks like it is related to this thread here http://staging.eventespresso.com/topic/featured-image-wont-attach-dependent-on-account/.

This is probably why I couldnt see it on Darrens, he provided a unique user account for me whereas Carlene did not.

As such what you need to do is make sure there is an URL in the “Link URL” field. If not click the “File URL” button. Then click the “insert into post” button as normal.

          See this screenshot http://d.pr/i/EUXj

If that still doesn’t work, which seems to be the case with Carlene’s site, then you will need to create a new user account or edit the database as per Josh’s response in the forum thread I linked.

Ok! Now I understand why you were able to upload the image (Dean) and I wasn’t. Thanks for posting the link to that other thread. I’ll try the resolve there and to be sure everything works that way.

            Thanks for chiming in Carlene!

In regard to the time-out issue, I haven’t experienced that, but I’m using shared hosting from GoDaddy and I have known traffic to be an issue at seemingly random times.

No problem, keep me posted on the outcome, and yes if not for Carlene the issue would not have been easily resolved.

GoDaddy. Well that explains that. We are not huge GoDaddy fans here at Event Espresso. If your events are looking to grow and get large numbers of visitors you may want to look at upgrading from shared hosting at some point.
