In the upcoming events widget, the condition “Show/Hide if Category/Tag etc is …” doesn’t appear to work.

I have attempted to hide various events from this showing in the widget by using this function (by choosing the desired categories or tags), but with no success: the respective events are still showing up. How should I proceed to hide them?

Thank you in advance.

I have just discovered that this condition is added by Jetpack, it is not native to EE.

But is there a “native” way to hide certain categories in the widget?

Hi B D,

Without modifying the widget code there isn’t a way to hide certain categories.

A workaround would be to put the events you DO want to display on the widget into a their own category, then assign that category in the widget settings.
