Running version 3.1.29.1.P, and even though I have active discount codes, they don’t show up inside some events, but show up inside others. I can’t figure out why that’s the case?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Vinnie

Hi Vinnie,

Have you checked that you have allowed discount codes in the events that don’t show them?

Are you running Jetpack? If so disable it and check again (the latest version causes some issues, rolling back to 2.0.2 can help)

HI Vinnie,

Is this happening in the admin, where the actual box that lets you check off discount codes is missing for some events? Or it this something else?

Hi Josh,

Here’s a screen shot.

The weird part is that out of 5 events, only 2 have this problem….

Thanks,
Vinnie

PS> We are not running Jetpack.

Hi Vinnie,

In this case, the second screenshot indicates that the admin entered the discount code into the system. Are there other user accounts that have created events? You can check this by going to to the event overview screen and looking at the Creator column:

http://www.vvlsystems.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=events

If you have events that were created by another user account, that user account will need to create their own discount codes.

Hi Josh,

OK I get it. But why limit the association of events to discount codes only if they are created by the same author? In a multi-user system (which we are), this is painful.

Thanks,
Vinnie

Hi Vinnie,

This only applies if you have the Roles and Permissions add-on installed. If you want all the users that have access to Event Espresso to have equal access to things like promo codes, then you can deactivate Roles and Permissions.
