Hello,

I have 3 events that have expired and I wanted to show the expired events along with any active events so I changed the code from [EVENT_LIST] to [EVENT_LIST limit=5 show_expired=true]. Unfortunately, none of the Expired events show up on this page: http://www.peo.net/past-events

Here’s my settings for the events:
1) I have set the “Events expire on registration end date?” to YES
2) All expired Events have the following options checked:
“Is this an Active Event” > YES
“Event Status” > PUBLIC

Not sure what I’m doing wrong but please help me to display a list of Expired Events.

Thank you!

The show_expired=true short code parameter will display both active and expired events. I can suggest creating a category for past events and use the category parameter to display past events. Note that the past events will need to be assigned to this new category.

Hi Josh,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I am trying to show both Active and Expired events. Even though I’ve set my shortcodes to show Expired events along with Active events, you can see on this page http://www.peo.net/past-events that it is NOT SHOWING the Expired events.

I have 3 expired events (which you can see listed on the sidebar). However, they are not appearing in the Event listing.

Try updating to the latest version of Event Espresso, and make sure that there are not old templates in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates.

The latest version of Event Espresso can be downloaded from your account page, and update instructions can be found here: http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/updating-event-espresso/

It appears that updating to the latest version did the trick! Thank you!

Is it possible to revise the event-list template so that it displays Active Events first and then Expired Events thereafter?
