I need to collect rsvp’s without payment. It is not a free event, and the price should be listed just to inform. But I need to turn off the payment function, so the customer doesn’t have to choose and make any kind of payment. Is it possible to do in Event Espresso lite version? I use WP 3.8

Hi Aine,

I *think* with EE Lite that the payment request is skipped if the event is free. I know that it works that way with EE4 premium.

Thank you Garth for the answer. But my events cost money and the price should be visible in the event list. But my clients don’t pay in advance. So I don’t want client to see payment overview and have to choose a payment method in registration. Registration should be complete without payment request. All I need is registration without payment :)

Hi Aine,

Currently with Event Espresso any events with a price attached require a payment, however you could use the invoice gateway to allow the attendee to finalize the registration. This will allow the attendee to register for the event and with an incomplete payment.

With the Premium version you can change the default payment status to pending which would apply the registration to the attendee list numbers, however the free version does not have that feature.

So you would need to manually edit the registrations to have them apply to the attendee limit (by altering the payment status to pending)

Hope that helps.
