Hi, we are using the Event Espresso app for scanning tickets and it seems to work great up until class starts, then the class disappears from the “Today” tab and we have to go to “Past” and scroll and scroll and scroll all the way to the bottom to find the event and continue scanning late registrants. How can we work around this and still keep our registration date/time in tact? Registration needs to end at or prior to event start, but scanning tickets should extend beyond event start for current day. Please advise.
Check the time zone settings in your WordPress general settings. It sounds to me like the events are disappearing because the server time is different from your local time and the local time is not defined in the WordPress settings.
Hi Chris, thanks for looking at this. I double checked the server system time and wordpress general settings. The time is set correctly in both places, is synchronized, and is defined. I did some more digging in the forum here and found a few other posts that indicated the same problem. The official response from Event Espresso staff seems to be that it’s a known issue with the app and that it is hopefully resolved when the new version of the app is released. In the meantime, we just have to scroll down “past” and wait for each set of events to load to get to the very bottom, today’s event, to scan tickets. I’ll keep watching for the bug fix, as our event instructors want the K.I.S.S. approach to work. If there are any other workarounds, please let me know! Thanks! http://staging.eventespresso.com/topic/is-there-a-resolution-to-todays-events-not-showing-in-ticketing-app/
