Just installed/learning EE, and NOT a programmer/developer. The event Start and End times and dates are displayed skewed across my registration page (http://www.prodefensenm.com/event-registration/?ee=3). I’ve had this happen with the free event tool I’m replacing and it had to do with the height of the line being set too low. Once changed from 10 to 15 everything aligned. Not sure if this is the same but I would have no idea how to find and fix. Is there something I can do relatively simple that doesn’t affect formatting across the site?

Also, I have set multiple prices. They look fine on the Registration page but the price shown on the List page (http://www.prodefensenm.com/event-registration/) is not the standard price for the event, it is one of the cheaper options. How do I get this to show the first, standard, price? I have read some forum items that were related but they quickly got too deep into altering files and queries for me to follow.

Hi there,

I checked on the issues you’re seeing with the times and dates and I’m afraid that’s being caused by the WordPress theme. It’s this code in the theme’s bootstrap.css file:

[class*="span"] {
float: left;
min-height: 1px;
margin-left: 20px;
}

Basically the little star/asterisk means apply this to everything that has “span” in it’s class name, which is what the event times and dates are marked up as, so they are included.

This can be fixed by overriding the above style (or removing it). Here is some CSS that can be added via the my custom CSS plugin:

[class*="span_event"] {
float: none;
}

With the price list, the only way right now to ensure that the first price entered displayed in the event list is by making an alteration to the event_list_display.php file:

In event_list_display.php look for this:

<?php echo  $org_options['currency_symbol'].$event->event_cost; ?>

and replace with this (copy and paste this in) :

<?php echo  $org_options['currency_symbol'].do_shortcode('[EVENT_PRICE event_id="'.$event_id.'" number="0"]'); ?>

The “0? at the end will grab the first price in the list. If you wanted to display the second price, change that to 1, third price would be 2, etc.

Fantastic. Thanks, Josh! Fixed the Price issue immediately. Will work on the time/date formats this evening.

Got back to it – used My Custom CSS to put in the code you provided – worked perfect.

Much thanks again Josh!
