Hi,
I’ve used your free plugin and it’s great. I was wondering, can I set up time slots within one event? For example, I am giving a music seminar on May 5, and I want people to be able to sign up for lessons at 8am, 9am, 10am etc. I also need up to 10 people to be able to sign up for the 8am, 9am, 10am times lots. And after the 10 slots are filled, no one else can sign up for that slot. Also one more thing, can there be categories for each time slot, like drums, guitars, and keyboards? For example at 8am up to 10 people can choose guitar lessons, at 8am up to 10 people can choose drums lessons and at 8am up to 10 people can choose keyboard lessons. Then at 9am the same thing and so on throughout the day.
Please let me know if this is possibe and what package I need to buy.
Yes that is possible with Event Espresso premium. You can add as many time slots to an event as you wish.
You can limit the number of registrations per time slot using the option
Use registration limits on time slots?
It is however still marked as experimental, so there may be some hiccups in certain situations, though I haven’t come across any. You just need to make sure that the overall attendee limit is set on the event.
Category wise, not really, however, using Multiple Event Registration you could obtain a similar sort of functionality, where you would have an event for drums, with time slots, and event for guitars, etc etc. So each instrument would be come an event.
The Business licence would have everything you need and is the best value. It also includes the Recurring Event Manager that may help with creating repetitive events.
My only advice here, is that Event Espresso was not designed specifcally to be an appointment system, so we recommend not creating too many events in one go (eg 6 months worth or more) especially if you are using shared hosting as it can slow the site down having a hundreds/thousands of active events.
