My problem seems to be with there being no way to exit the app. I realize that it is helpful to have it stay active during check-ins but the only way to exit the app is to Force Close it from manage apps, Otherwise it seems to run down the battery really quickly. I tried it last night and did not force close it and it ran my battery down to nearly 0. Am I missing something?
Yeah I have the same problem with the app it seems to stay on and if it has been inactive for a few minutes and the phone’s screen turns off, it won’t work, I have to reboot my phone and re-open the app to scan. If it does work, it takes forever to scan a ticket, which I have to reboot the phone and restart the app…
@Maurice. No there isnt currently that feature. I personally tend to use an “app killer” to shut down apps that are draining my battery (which tends to be a lot of them).
@Tommy, same thing really, try an app killer to shut the app down. However you say it takes ages to scan, what are your phone specs please? I run an old HTC and it seems to work fine, but any extra data is awesome to have.
I will run this by the devs to see if its something we can include in the next version.
It works fine until the screen shuts off if the phone sits un-used for a bit. Then it tends to not work as expected. I have the GLORIOUS S3 Samsung. :) I may have to test out an app-killer before the event …
Ive had the same thing happen with other apps, if it goes to stand by it messes them up. I’ll ask a dev to look into it, but it may be worth lengthening the standby period for the event and yeah an app killer. though you will have to relog in if you use the app killer on it.
p.s. the S3 is awesome!
