Testing event espresso on local machine

Hi,

is possible to do complete test of event espresso on local machine (send notification mails, payment transaction, ect.)?

If a customer chooses the EFT payment method andì, after that, the admin confirms that he paid, will be sent a confirm payment email to him?

Hi Daniele,

Yes it will work fine on local servers (we use them daily) BUT for emails to work, your local system will need to be set up correctly.

This is just one example, a Google search will provide more and it also depends on your development platform (this is xampp) http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15965376/how-to-configure-xampp-to-send-mail-from-localhost

Just to add to this, rather than configuring a local smtp server I often use the WP SMTP to route all local outbound emails through a gmail account.

Just a quick and easy alternative.
