hi, I am testing the event espresso lite on a local computer. When i use the paypal sandbox to test payment as a buyer. The process gets completed on paypal side but the info doesnot get updated on the actual website on the local…

Have you set up the paypal IPN? http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-set-up-paypal-ipn/

Also sometimes sandbox and local host don’t play well together, you could try using the sandbox on a live development site to double check it.

Unless you have a way to make your localhost publicly viewable on the internet, the PayPal IPN will not work.
