Hi,

I’m about to start some dev/configuration tasks on a staging site, and wanted to know how to best handle this with your licensing.

I use a typical setup for stages, and git push to the production site once everything is setup.

However, with once I push to the production site, having already added my account license to the staging site, will I encounter issues on the production site?

Have any other customers voiced concern about this? Thanks!

Update: I did notice this note on activation:

“If this is a development or test site, please DO NOT enter your Support License Key. Save it for the live production site, otherwise you will unnecessarily run into issues with needing to have your Key reset.”

Will functionality be limited while working on the development site?

Thanks!

Hi,

No functionality will not be limited whilst working with a development server.

The licensing is used for support and upgrades. On a Dev server we recommend you not use the license key and manually update :)
