Hi all
We are currently running a membership plugin (Yourmembers) which handles payments for the services we provide on our site.
We want to be able to use this plugin to also register and pay for EE events whilst also booking those people onto the events … could this be possible without the users having to enter their details twice (once on the yourmembers plugin when paying and then again to confirm booking of a workshop)?
Event Espresso is not currently compatible with Yourmembers (at least, there are no BuddyPress functions in Event Espresso. It should still work on a BuddyPress-enabled site). Our WP User Integration (Members Addon) uses profile information to auto-populate registration forms. Have you used this add-on?
Hi Jonathan
We haven’t installed this add-on yet – if it worked in reverse whereby, when a member registers for an event on the payment page, the registration form also creates them as a subscriber within WordPress that would be useful.
The documentation suggests we have to send them to register with wordpress before they can see the event which wouldn’t work too well.
The above way we could handle payments within EE and then manually assign them to a group within Yourmembers (as yourmembers will recognise any wordpress users in their system automatically).
Would this be possible with the Add-on?
We’re trying to minimise the number of steps for the user when purchasing.
There isn’t any integration between the two. To make something like this possible, it would need to be custom developed.
