Hi there
I have not been able to come up with a way to do this and want to find our if there is a way or if not will there be in a future version. We have monthly events setup on our site, people can register for each event on the registration page. We have also setup two events that represent a six month and a 12 month subscription. The idea is that people can pay a discounted price and be registered for the next 6 events or the next 12 events. Now this works fine in terms of payment and keeping track of who has signed up for the subscription but we have to add the attendees manually to each of the next 6 or 12 events. Is there a way to automate this or is there another way to go about it altogether that results in less overhead?
thank you
One way would be to use the Multiple Event Registration addon and the Volume Discount addon.
You can set up a shortcode to add X number of events, so six or twelve, to cart in one go. The user will have to sign up for each, but there is a handy fill all button. The volume discount addon can then be used to trigger a discount if there are 6 or more events in cart.
Drawbacks
If someone adds 6 or more events to cart manually they will get a discount
There is no way to give separate discounts to the 6 and 12 events, they will both get the same discount
The user will get a list of forms to fill out (see button above).
The user will get an email for each event.
