SSL issue on IE

Hi there,

Succesfully launched the site. Have SSL on certain pages e.g join now and contact page, and have installed the WP HTTPS Plugin.

It works fine except on IE, there is a message which indicates a security certifcate error.

After close examination, the culprit seems to be:

https://www.geoplugin.net/javascript.gp?ver=3.5.1

Is this coming from Event Espresso?

What can we do about this?

Hi there,

The error isn’t coming from Event Espresso. You’re seeing the error because geoplugin.net/ does not load as https.

You can fix this by removing the geoplugin.net script from any pages you have set to load as https.

Is the geoplugin script being called from Event Espresso?

I do not remember installing a script myself – nor does my developer.

If so, how can I remove it from certain pages?

The geoplugin script doesn’t load from Event Espresso. It may be from either another plugin or the theme.

You are right – it was coming from a cookie control plugin strangely enough  – disabled it and replaced it with another – all working fine now :)
