I’d like to create few calendars for events of one venue each. How can I make this? I know, there is shortcode for categories of events, but I’d like to make it without using categories, but venue ID instead.

Hello Tom,

I know you said you don’t want to use categories, but the most efficient way of doing this would be to add a category for each venue, then add the category in the event overview settings. You then could use the shortcode [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR event_category_id="your_venue_category_identifier"].

Is there a reason you do not want to use categories?

That I know of, there isn’t an ESPRESSO_CALENDAR shortcode that (other than the example above) can be used to display only a single venue.

Well, the reason is: I don’t want to overload categories too much, but it’s ok. I just wanted to know, is there any other way to do it. Thx for answer.

Hi Tom,

What do you mean by overload categories too much? If you are worried about site performance, it shouldn’t be an issue to have lots of categories.

@Tom I think this would be a nice feature to add to the ESPRESSO_CALENDAR and EVENT_LIST short codes. I will look into adding your suggestion.

@Jonathan Wilson
I know that it won’t harm to site performance. I mean, if there’re too many categories, it becomes harder to find category that you want in a huge list of all categories.

@Seth

That would be great.
