We discovered a small issue when adding attendees manually via the back end.
If we include a $ symbol with the amount paid, the system seems to reject the amount paid without any feedback and as a result, a confirmation email is sent to the attendee where the [cost] shortcode is replaced with $0.
Obviously we won’t include the $ in the price going forward, but perhaps one of the following could be done to prevent potential miscommunication with customers:
Add a little note beside the field saying “Do NOT include $” and/or
add basic field validation to say the field can only contain numeric
values
Add field validation of some kind to parse out valid currency
symbols etc.
This is not urgent, but it would be one less thing for people to worry about. :)
