I am experienced a strange issue with the social media plugin, whenever i try to like or share a single event it links instead to the site home page.
i also have tried to switch to the addtoany plugin to achieve the same result but in this case it links to the general event list page.
you can see an example of this behaviour in the page
needless to say that even though now both the plugins are running together for testing purposes, i tried to switch off one and the other to test if this was due to some kind of conflict.
I also tried to create posts for events to see if this solced the issue, with no luck
The way Event Espresso creates events and importantly sets the url can cause issues with social networks getting the right url. We will hopefully resolve that in the next major iteration of the plugin – 4.0 – as we will have pretty permalinks (/event-name rather than /?page=123 ).
Also the social media add on, has an issue with Facebook currently. We have a potential fix in place but it requires some testing. I am currently pushing the devs to put some focus on this as it needs sorting. We will release it as soon as we can.
