Simple Canadian On-Site Payment Solution?

I am wondering which payment option would be the best fit for our needs.

We’re looking for an easy on-site solution that at least accepts both Canadian Debit (Interac) Cards & Credit Cards.

So far it seems like BeanStream may be a good option, but I would need to contact them to setup an account: http://www.beanstream.com/site/ca/index.html

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks!

Hi Michael,
We highly recommend Stripe, and it’s now available in Canada:

Thanks Josh! I signed up for Stripe. Now that I have it installed with Espresso, I still don’t see an option for Interac payment during checkout. Also it’s not a very user-friendly form, would be nice if it had a dropdown for the Credit Card types, etc. Any ideas?

Hi Michael,

On closer look, Stripe does not appear to have an Interac option. We are working on a Beanstream integration for a future release, which may be available soon if we can finish up the development in time for the next version.

Ok, thank you. So we maybe won’t use Stripe for now.

Beanstream is not integrated with Espresso though? I do already see it in the list of available payment options.

Is it possible to accept canadian debit card / interac through another one of the available services?

If not, and I can only accept on-site payment via credit card (I do plan to keep paypal activated as an easy off-site option), which is the best option for us? Thanks! :)

Hi Michael.

I misspoke earlier, the most recent release update of Event Espresso added Beanstream integration. Sorry about that.

That’s great! I just spoke with someone from Beanstream on the phone yesterday – seems like it’ll be a good fit, and they’re local(ish)! Thanks Josh.
