Hi —
I have looked through the documentation to the best of my ability at this hour. :-)
My question is: I like having expired events show up (i.e., on the calendar so people can see what events have already occurred..) but, I don’t want the ability to register for a past event.
I saw a previous thread mentioning if a recurring event is still happening, then that may be throwing the parsing system off, but… if I have recurring events, I cannot close the registration period to a week before the event, or something like that.
So, can I show the expired events but not allow the registration button to show?
(I’m sure it can be done with extra code, but I’d like to know if I’m just missing something!)
Thanks!
-Todd

wordpress v.3.7.1
event espresso… v.3.1.36.1.p
calendar 2.1.6.BETA, Multi-event Reg. 1.0.5.p, Recurring Events 1.1.8.p,
social coupons v.1.5.3.1, custom template display, members addon, (not every addon but a heck of a lot of them).
So if you are using the Recurring Event manager and you have it set up so that you can register for all events within the registration period, then the registration form will still appear.
You could amend the events to only allow registrations to be registered as per a formula (http://d.pr/i/n0y4) which basically will stop the registration just before the event starts.
Other than that you would have to modify the templates to do it.
