Wordpress version: 3.5.2
Event espresso: 3.1.35.2.P
Event Espresso calendar: 2.0.6.3
EVent Espresso recurring events: 1.1.4
Recently Upgraded: TRUE

Howdy all,

I am having problems with my shortcodes.

I have a category called “island-themed-cooking-experiences-1384226946″ When I use the shortcode [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR event_category_id=”island-themed-cooking-experiences-1384226946”] I am able to render a calendar, with all the reoccurring events listed…no problems.

However, I would also like a list of all events and their descriptions on the same page. I tried using [EVENT_LIST category_identifier=island-themed-cooking-experiences-1384226946] but it doesn’t render. If I put both of those short codes in one page, it actually doesn’t render the calendar as well.

Here is the page: http://annies-table.com/classes/island-themed-cooking-experiences/

Any suggestions?

Hi,

That’s odd as they should work just fine together. You could try using the category_identifier for both

[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR category_identifier=”island-themed-cooking-experiences-1384226946″]
[EVENT_LIST category_identifier=”island-themed-cooking-experiences-1384226946″]

If that doesn’t work, let me know, I may need login details to examine the issue closer.

That didn’t work either…Thanks for the quick reply though

I just ended up creating a new category, and placing each event into that new category…painful procedure, but it worked.

Strange…

Hi there,

It may have been hitting a query limit when both the calendar and the list were on the same page. The new version of the calendar (currently available to download as a beta release from the pre-release channel option on your account page) has a new feature where it loads up events one month at a time instead of all at once.
