Hello,
I want the MER shopping cart to diplay “Events Cart” in the site navigation ONLY when there are items added to the cart. How can this be done?

Hi Brian,
Unfortunately Event Espresso does not have that functionality currently.
We have the Espresso Cart Widget which which will only load within the widget area once an event has been added to the cart.
This is available within Appearance -> Widgets.

Thanks, Tony. I added the Cart to the sidebar. But when I click the “Add this event to your cart” link the Cart doesn’t show with the event.
I am using the shortcode [ESPRESSO_CART_LINK event_id=”spring-2014-w-52fc50b3ea45c” anchor=”Register for This Event”]
Any suggestions?

Hi Brian,
Thank you for the link, it helps too see the issue more clearly.
There’s a couple of issues here. The ESPRESSSO_CART_LINK uses the event id (interger) and not the event identifier (string)
Currently you are using the Identifier for the event_id parameter, this needs to be the id itself. You can find this within the event overview (Event Espresso -> Event Overview) find your event and you’ll see the id number within the ID column use that in the shortcode you provided above.
Secondly there is some JavaScrip loading within the page that is not using jQuery noConflict() which is causes errors. http://d.pr/i/y5Cn
The code loads within the header http://d.pr/i/47hl (likely the header.php template files) but also the footer http://d.pr/i/yuwv (likely footer.php)
One once instance of the script should load and should be correctly loaded to avoid conflicts, a little more info is av available HERE
Basically you need to change

to be
jQuery(document).ready(function($){
If this is not your own code I would recommend contacting the theme developer with this information to have them fix this.
