Hi. I’m trying to get PayPal working for the first time. Whenever I try and complete a registration using the Paypal button, I get ‘Error detected. Your shopping cart is empty’. I’ve been through all the instructions others have offered in the forums on this topic such as: ‘Transaction page public & published”IPN is enabled’etc. but nothing seems to be working. Any suggestions?

Hi

First things first your theme is wrapping the javascript in p tags which is causing problems.

You could try using the [raw] [/raw] tags around the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] in your event registration page, if your theme supports it.

This alone may resolve the PayPal issue, but if nothing else will clear up other problems such as the attendee toggle not functioning.

Otherwise, is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this?

If so, please send them via http://staging.eventespresso.com/contact/

Choose the “I am sending login info as requested” option and fill out the form

Hi Dean
Thanks so much for the [raw] fix, this has certainly got things working, including the attendees toggle. I’ll contact Striking to work out a way to remove the paragraph tags.
