We would like to make it possible for registrants to pay either a deposit or the full amount.
We walked through a test event, and right now, the event price is fixed in PayPal with the full amount.
Our current site doesn’t use eventespresso, we’re setting up each event in PayPal with two payment options.
But our new site is set up with eventespresso, and we don’t want to lose this option.
Is this possible within EE? If so, how?
Partial payments are not available at this time. We hope to add that feature in the next 12-18 months. It’s on our radar and we might get to it sooner, but we’d rather err on the side of conservatism.
I just discovered by happy accident that we can set up two different prices for each event. The first price is named Full Amount and the second price is named Deposit Amount. The registrant chooses which price they want to pay on the registration page where they fill out the registration questions. Then when they confirm and choose PayPal, the price they chose is listed on the payment page.
