Hi Support Team,

We are wondering if there is any way in EE3 or EE4 to set age restrictions on events. We have different classes that we run for different age levels and we do not want to allow those that are out of the age range to register.

Using a custom question is the only way I know of at this time without requiring custom development: http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-require-attendees-to-agree-to-a-policy-before-being-allowed-to-register/

Hi Elizabeth,

You can’t currently restrict events by the age of a registrant. However there are some workarounds available.

You could add a notice to the event description area and/or enable the admin pre-approval for these events and collect the birthdate of the registrant:

https://staging.eventespresso.com/features/admin-pre-approval/

From there, you could manually approve or deny registrations based on the birthdate of the attendee/registrant.
