I’ve just noticed a faux pas on my part when settings up an event ticketing system. I have not been sending out email confirmation with the ticket download after users have signed up for our event. Can I now send out a bulk email to all attendees with a link to download their tickets?
Yes you can, if you go to the Event Overview and find the event in question, on the far right is an email icon. Pressing that will allow you to email all the attendees of that event. You can use a premade email via the Email Manager (would need to be created first) or create a one off non re-usable email just by clicking the icon.
So long as the [ticket_link] shortcode is included in the email, the users can follow the link that creates to obtain their e-ticket.
Will this send an email to all attendees or just those who have completed the payment? I have a number of attendees who’s order was incomplete and I obviously I do not wish to send tickets to those who have not completed payment!
It will send it to all of them. One thing to keep in mind is if the ticket hasn’t been paid for yet and someone tries to use it, the scanner app will not accept the ticket and display a message indicating that the registration was not paid for.
Thanks Josh but I’d rather not have to deal with unsuccessful orders adding to the confusion on the day!
I may need to filter out and delete incomplete orders before sending the email to all attendees? I can export all details first so that I will have a record. Do you see any other way around my predicament?
That’s one way to handle it. If you decide to keep some of the incomplete orders you could send payment reminders to them first. If you include the payment link shortcode in the email and set the option to display payment options in Event Espresso>General settings they can go back to the site and pay for their tickets:
