I need to run a conference registration with two upgrade add-ons for people registering (i.e. they can add a $25 dinner ticket and/or 50 donation onto their registration fee). I thought I could make it work with the multiple events add-on, but I can’t seem to put them all on the same registration form (with only one submit button). I also don’t want the same user to have to fill out their name and email three times…

Thoughts on the best way to do this?

I would suggest offering 4 price options for the event:

1) Conference only
2) Conference + dinner
3) Conference + donation
4) Conference + donation + dinner

Thanks Josh, but we already have 4 options, so to add the other two would mean needing to have 12+ drop down options, which seems unwieldily and confusing. I added the donation + dinner as separate events and tried to get it to work through the view cart function, but when clicked, the refresh arrow for the cart would spin without doing anything…

Can you elaborate how you tried to get this to work via the view cart function?

You might try the add_to_cart shortcode: http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#add-to-cart

Note that these will need ID’s added as parameters if they are separate events.

Sure, I used: [ESPRESSO_CART_LINK event_id=”1-17-18″ anchor=”Register to Attend”]. Clicking on that link just resulted in a spinning wheel on the page. When I would go to the cart page, and try to change the options and click “update total” I would get the same spinning wheel that never did anything.

I would happily pay for support to get this fixed. Is that an option?

Yes, this is an option, look over the the right side of this page for the priority support option under Premium support.

We will typically look to rule out any plugin/theme conflicts as a first step, so you may want to check that first before purchasing priority support.
