I am trying to figure out how to get the seating chart plugin to play nicely with the multiple price levels function of Event Espresso.
When the Seating Chart is not enabled, I can add [Senior] price and [Student] price. But when I turn it on, I can only get the regular price working.
This seems like a pretty necessary feature, since you can’t expect every person that reserves a seat to all be of the same age group. What if it’s a Family? You’ll have adults, kids and maybe Grandma come along to see little Johnny in his debut performance of Les Miserables.
So is there a setting or even some sort of snippet code that I can implement to get these two functionalities to show up?
There is only one event showing at the moment, on the Upcoming Events page. Don’t even get me started on the amount of time that we needed in order to get the basic seating chart working correctly…
Anyway, thanks and I hope to hear back from you soon; our client is not a happy camper right now.
The seating chart was modeled around sporting events and concerts where one price applies to a specific seat. It currently does not have a feature that allows for selectable multiple price options within one seat.
At this time, the only way for Event Espresso 3.x to offer multiple prices for tickets within one transaction as you describe would be to use the Multi Event Registration add-on.
There is some documentation outlined that shows how to use the Multi Event Registration add-on to make it possible to select multiple ticket price options within one transaction. Here is a link:
In that case, I think we’re going to ask for a refund. The way Event Espresso itself is modeled, admins are able to add multiple ticket prices. But then the seating chart pretty much disables that ability. So it’s a misrepresentation of the seating chart’s capabilities.
If you wish to discuss the matter further, please contact sales @ eventespresso . com
