I would like someone to be able to search for an event, view the calendar in a list mode, and be able to view events by the categories that I have assigned. Are these things possible? What is the best way to go about achieving this functionality? Thanks!

When I say categories above I mean I would like people to be able to sort by staff member. Thanks!

I would like someone to be able to search for an event

Possible with the event search shortcode
http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#event-search

view the calendar in a list mode

You mean an event list? This is the default view for events.

and be able to view events by the categories that I have assigned

Possible with a category-specific event list
http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#category

I would like people to be able to sort by staff member.

That’s not possible at this time. You could do it, but you’d need to do a custom shortcode or MySQL query.

Hey Chris,

Thank you very much for your help. I do have one additional question however. Is there an easy select box type solution that will allow me to sort by category? Or is the best option to create separate pages and use the category shortcode and then manually link to that page from the main event registration page?

Hi

Separate pages is the way to go with this, we dont really have any front end filters for categories.
