Hi, I am very interested in adding the plugin to my web site. However, while testing the light version it seems like the events do not come up in the search results. I was wondering if events can be searchable using my theme, with the Pro version of the Event Espresso plugin? For a reference: my site is: http://southbaybuys.com/ Thanks in advance, Liora
Events are not the same as posts or pages — they use their own framework/system and therefore don’t come up in search results. There are a couple ways the premium version can handle this.
The first is an event search shortcode that can be used on pages to add an autocomplete search feature. Demo here.
The second option is by using the “Create a Post” feature and either creating a new post for your events or using that in conjunction with the built-in Custom Post Types option to create a specific post type for Events. Since the posts in this case are actual posts, they will show up in a regular WordPress search.
