When I am editing a post in wordpress, there is a drop-down called “screen options” which allows me to remove a number of the different edit sections for the new post.
Event Espresso has a bewildering variety of edit options for each post, but it would be good if I could turn some of these off as they are going to be confusing for users.
I could happily lose “Event Pricing”, “Event Meta” and “Email Confirmation” right off the bat. If I could somehow set some defaults for other bits, again, maybe with a hook action) I would be able to lose a couple more.
Though 3.2 is still a way off yet, the development version does have the ability to do this, so it’s looking good that it will be included in the final release.
It’s doubtful we will include it in any 3.1.X releases though.
