We have a client working with a schools lunch program.
They would like to post their monthly lunch menus and allow parents to submit orders and pay for those orders.
For each day there would be a main entrée and an alternative entrée along with a choice of one of six sides (the entrée and side combo will cost $3.75 no matter which entrée and which side they pick)
They also want to include an option to order a dessert at an additional cost and a drink at an additional cost. (I would assume there might be some options here as well, i.e. chocolate milk vs white milk).
Parents could order a week at a time or a month at a time; however, there would be a cutoff date to order for a given week (you wouldn’t be able to order for a certain week after Tuesday of the previous week).
Keep in mind that a parent may want to order and pay for more than one child’s lunches at a time.
Would the Events plugin work for this? What would be the best way to implement? Or am I crazy? Thanks.
They will need the ability to set menu items and adjust pricing as necessary.
This could possibly work with the Espresso Price Modifier add-on that has just been added to our Pre-Release channel. It allows you to add custom questions with pricing attached, so when the registrant chooses an item, it increases the price by the set amount.
