I’d like to use EE as a class schedule/catalog. I’m trying now with the other event manager plugin but I cannot add a class (event) without having a date attached (recurring or otherwise) . This doesn’t work for unscheduled classes. Ultimately I’d like to see, “No classes currently scheduled” if there is no date attached. This way users can still see the class overview (event page) and perhaps request a class be scheduled or be notified when a class is scheduled. Is this something I could accomplish with EE?
The Event Espresso events all must have a date attached to them.
What you could do though is add a category for the type of class (lets say Kung Fu or Judo) and have a post/page made for the class and in that use one of our shortcodes to only display classes for that category.
When no classes are available a message will appear to say No events available… which can be modified with a little bit of code.
